"Mamma said Knock you Out."

I woke up this morning to Sportscenter and this... You can look at this incident a lot of ways. For the sake of the grown man in me. Buddy from Oregon is dead wrong. His offense got manhandled and that's the bottom line. Roll with the punches and keep it moving. He should and will get suspended.

The question is for how long and does anyone else besides me feel as though the player for Boise on the other end of the punch should be suspended as well? This incident comes on the heels of College Football introducing a new sportsmanship initiative with hopes that it will set a tone for sportsmanlike behavior on the field and in the stands.

Well they didn't get off to a good start.

I personally feel as though the player from BSU should get suspended for at least two quarters to a full game. He should have never tap buddy on the shoulder pads and said whatever he said because I'm sure it wasn't "good game." Grow up and act like you've won a game before.

As for buddy from Oregon State, I hope that punch was worth it, you may be sitting for a while.

  4. OK - here's my 2 cents on this situation:

I'm sure buddy from Boise State didn't say anything nice to buddy from Oregon, but we MUST think about the consequences of our actions before we react.

If they were in the streets, I would agree with buddy from Oregon 100% because that's how you survive in the streets.

But, they were not in the steets! They were on national T.V., and the whole country was watching. Because of this, buddy from Oregon lost a whole season of college football, and perhaps went from a potential 1st or 2nd round draft pick to a non-draft pick.

In response to the previous comment, we should kick a lil a*s every now and then, but we should think about the magnitude of the consequences first. In this particular situation, buddy from Oregon should kick his own a*s because his "hoop dreams" may have gone down the drain because he allowed the ignorance of another man to potentially decide his future and the future of his family.

We must learn when to fight with our brains and when to fight with our fists. When you're playing college football on national T.V. on ESPN, it is not the time to fight with your fist!!!!!!!!!!
