“How Far(ve) Will They Go?”

To tell you the truth, I’m so sick and tired of being sick and tired of hearing about Brett Farve. To make matters worst, the Vikings signed this dude to big money (2yrs-25 million).

It’s evident to me that his heart is not in football. If his heart was into it, he wouldn’t have retired after playing an inconsistent year with the Jets. In fact, he wouldn’t have retired the first time. I just think that he really has it out for the Packers.

Either way you look at it, he won’t make it through the year. I think the Vikings went from a good team to a mediocre team with the signing of Farve. The last time I checked, as Fran Tarkenton put it, “football is a team sport.” The Vikings got a circus on their hands.

Did they not learn anything from the Jets last year?

  1. Well, this is my take on Brett Farve:

He was forced out of Green Bay because they were paying Aaron Rogers all that money and he was getting restless. They offered a crazy deal to Farve to retire and continue to pay him for many, many years.

So, he said screw Green Bay and went elsewhere. Going to the Jets was a move for him to just stay in "football" condition. His intentions the whole time were to go to the Vikings and punish Green Bay for trying to force him out after all the years he put into that franchise.

The only reason he took so long to sign with the Vikings is because he didn't want to go through training camp and all of that stuff that will wear an "old man" out (smart if you ask me).

We'll see what he has left this upcoming NFL season. I hope he does well.

  2. Wow Niz how you gon dog Bret like that man? He was playing pretty good for the Jets before he got HURT. Anybody can get hurt in a football season. If Favre wasn't worth the money they wouldnt have signed him the QB's in the Sota suck ass. Give him a chance I bet he has more success than Jordan had in his 2nd comeback.

  3. Not wanting to be a part of training camp makes you an individual. I dont care, for that amount of money for a quarterback that is not 100 percent healthy and at his age, you need to be in camp running the practice squad like Vick versus crying about having to sleep in a dorm.

For 25 million, i'd pitch a tent in the middle of the practice field and eat ramen noodles and potatoe chips for four weeks.

Athletes like Farve are spoiled. He's using legacy to get over in Minnesota. They crazy for putting up with that.
